Zimmer Biomet, a $8.0b maker of musculoskeletal products for spine, craniomaxillofacial, thoracic and dental applications, has acquired A&E Medical Corporation, a manufacturer of sternal closure devices. The deal adds a portfolio of sternal sutures, cable systems, and rigid fixation products and complementary single-use temporary pacing wiring and surgical punches. A&E Medical was originally acquired in 2016 by Vance Street Capital, a private equity firm focused on medical, aerospace, defense and industrial sectors. Deal value -- $250m.
