Teladoc Health, Inc. (NYSE: TDOC), a $553.3m provider of virtual healthcare services purchased InTouch Health, a producer of telehealth software and devices including tablets, remote monitoring systems and portable carts that mount HDMI-enabled televisions or monitors for physicians to view patients during telehealth appointments. The acquisition helps Teladoc scale and enable hospitals and physician practices to virtualize amid the seismic shift in the delivery of healthcare during the COVID pandemic. The consideration comprised of $150m in cash and $4.6m in Teladoc common stock.
