Nordson Corporation Acquires Fluortek 

Nordson Corporation, a $2.2b developer of dispensing and fluid management systems for adhesives, industrial coatings, sealants, paints, polymers, fluids and biomaterials, has acquired Fluortek Inc., a maker of precision plastic extrusion products.  Fluortek’s offerings include polytetrafluoroethylene, heatshrink, micro-bore, fluoropolymer, thermoplastic, radiopaque and splittable tubing, multi-lumen and profile extrusions, and etched liners for use in central venous, balloon and urinary catheters, computer aided surgery systems and vascular grafts.  Fluortek will be integrated into Nordson MEDICAL and expand the business’ component and device manufacturing capabilities serving OEM’s in the interventional, minimally invasive and surgical device segments.  Fluortek’s manufacturing facility is in the U.S. – adding production capability while avoiding COVID-related or other offshoring risks.  Terms not announced.
